Planting / Light Plan

The planting plan is created once the concept design has been completed. It involves plant selection for the landscaped areas of the concept design. The plant palette is selected in this part of the design process, based on your likes and dislikes, thus creating a very personal design. It is detailed for the type and size of the plant or tree, and the exact location for planting (see example below). If you only require a new plant scheme, a planting plan can be done independently of the concept design.

The lighting plan is part of the planting plan and is a design process that enhances the landscape for night time viewing. Selected landscape features and plants are illuminated so they can be enjoyed after dark. It can also be designed as a security feature. The lighting plan includes uplighting, downlighting, floodlighting and accent lighting.
